The Consumer Protection Office has been formally established and today launches its official website at consumer.gov.vin, where product safety rules, the recall register and guidance for consumers and traders are published.

All news- Consumer Protection Office Publishes First Recall Register
Six recalls are in force at establishment, four of them classified as presenting a serious risk. The register names the product, the hazard and the action consumers should take.
- General Product Safety Rules Take Effect Across the Network
Eight general product safety rules apply from today to every product supplied within the Network, with four supplementary standards for electrical goods, children's products, materials in contact with food and protective equipment.
- Consumer Protection Office Publishes First Statistical Release
The Office's first statistical release records 4,812 consumer enquiries handled during the transition period, 1,376 complaints registered and 214 traders entered on the register of suppliers.
About the Office
The Consumer Protection Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network is responsible for the safety of goods supplied within the Velocity Interoperability Network and for the protection of the people who buy them.
It issues the general product safety rules, maintains the register of recalls, publishes guidance on the rights of buyers and the duties of traders, and handles complaints against traders established in the Network.
